- Donate in-kind goods or services.
- Make a donation to the Capital Campaign.
Encourage your company to make a matching gift.
Special Ways to Give
Camp Fire exists to serve the community and wishes to turn no one away. In 2007, we offered more than $30,000 in needs-based scholarships to Portland-area youth who would otherwise not have had an opportunity to attend summer camp. Scholarships and sliding-scale fees also are offered to our school-based program participants based on need.
If you wish, you can designate a donation as a tribute or memorial gift to honor a loved one or friend.
Donors are encouraged to make unrestricted gifts to the council´s over-arching Endowment Fund, but may also choose to restrict their gift in support of Camp Namanu´s annual maintenance needs.
If your donation reaches a certain level, you will be recognized as a member of one of these donor societies:
WoHeLo Society |
Guardian Fir Society |
Planned Giving
More than 70 percent of Americans contribute to the nonprofit groups of their choice throughout their lifetimes, but only about 6 percent continue this support through a gift in their will or estate plan. By making a "planned gift," you can continue to help Camp Fire USA in perpetuity as we make an important difference in our community.
A planned gift offers you the peace of mind of knowing that your wishes for the distribution of your assets will be carried out with responsibility, sensitivity, and timeliness. There are many planned giving options.
In-Kind Donations
Donations of your valuable pro bono services or surplus materials are another way of helping Camp Fire build caring, confident youth and future leaders. View a list of some of the current goods and products we can use.
Donor Bill of Rights
Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have certain rights.
Thank you for considering an investment in the lives of Portland´s youth. Your support ensures that Camp Fire continues to deliver on its mission to help kids become successful at home, at school, and in the community.
